Thank You!

Your submission has been received.

At Cygnets Childcare, we hold the conviction that the environment acts as a third teacher for children...

and that the formation of positive relationships, secure attachments, and a strong connection to nature, alongside the thoughtful integration of technology is essential for enhancing their learning.

Our childcare and education philosophy transcends mere principles; it embodies a distinctive experiential approach that distinguishes us. We place the utmost importance on your children's safety, joy, and well-mannered development, instilling values and principles through structured yet playful early education that engages their curiosity. In support of this, we provide a nurturing, family-like home setting, enriched with a spiritually and physically invigorating, yet tranquil learning atmosphere, all under the guidance of our team of professional, friendly, assured, and energetic educators with more than two decades of experience in early childhood education.

At Cygnets Childcare, our aim is for children to value their time with us, enhanced through authentic and natural exploratory activities. Our curriculum is crafted to offer personalised learning experiences that are tailored to the unique interests, skills, personalities, cultural heritages, and local community connections of each child.

Acknowledging the individuality of each child, along with their distinct learning preferences and timelines, we collaborate intimately with them, as well as their parents and caregivers, to customise their educational path. Our harmonious method enables us to adjust our immediate plans with agility to meet Cygnets' overarching curriculum objectives, designed to satisfy early childhood education benchmarks while nurturing children's curiosity and love for learning.

Cygnets Childcare is foremost committed to fostering your child's wellbeing, happiness, and healthy growth throughout these crucial early years. This dedication is the core of all our endeavours.

We promise an unforgettable Early Childhood experience for your child, enriched with professional care and nurturing. We pledge to maintain open and transparent communication with you and your family, supporting you in steering your child towards realising their fullest potential and beyond in these formative years, thereby laying the groundwork for their path to a fulfilling adulthood that empowers our children to face any challenge with dignity and harmony.

I look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to our unique and caring early years setting.

Best wishes,

Rose Dias

Indoor Learning

- Children making necklaces on a rainy day.

We advocate for play, interactive learning, and holistic child development.

Our indoor play area is thoughtfully designed and frequently updated to meet the varied, diverse and evolving needs of our children and their interests.

We refine our environment by integrating the philosophies of Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and Forest School, while addressing the challenges brought by technological advancements in the 21st century.

Our continuous provision features a blend of traditional and cutting-edge educational resources, complete with interactive and tactile literature, arts and crafts supplies, musical instruments for both children and adults, a variety of digital and physical problem-solving games and puzzles, construction materials, interactive and standard whiteboards, writing pads, role-play accessories, a dress-up area, loose items, large cardboard boxes, wheels, wooden blocks, a place to grow indoor plants, a playhouse, and a secure garden equipped with scooters, bikes, and trikes.

Outdoor Learning Approach

- Children making a mandala under shade in the woodland on a hot sunny day

Guided by inhouse Qualified Forest School Leader, we've woven the nature school education model into our curriculum to enhance our children's well-being.

This approach immerses our students in the natural environment, enabling them to discover our inhouse forest school front garden filled with natural materials, adjacent pond with wild life, woodlands filled with loose articles, our allotment a mere 10-minute drive away with fruits and vegetables to hand pick, beaches within an hour's distance for sand play, nearby agriculture nurseries and farms to grow our own garden etc.

Their learning is expanded beyond the traditional early years' classroom setting, offering them abundant, tactile, nature-based experiences as part of their preschool education at Cygnets Childcare. We believe that nature inspires deep reflection in our children and promotes the growth of knowledge, resilience, self-confidence, and most crucially, a meaningful bond with the natural world prior to stating their formal education.
