The Great Pumpkin Parade
Once upon a time, in a little town called Redhill, there was a great team;
Benny the Bunny (J-A): Loves to hop, great communicator and very curious.
Sally the Squirrel (Z-R): Always gathering nuts, very agile and good at problem solving.
Tommy the Tortoise (E-C): Very good at eating tough vegetables, bearing difficult temperatures, slow but wise.
Polly the Piglet (A-S): Loves to play in the mud, a good swimmer and is very friendly.
Pear the Bear (R-S): loves to navigate, can see all the colours, have a good memory and can walk very fast
The animal team was buzzing with excitement for the annual Harvest Festival. This year, they decided to throw a Great Pumpkin Parade. Everyone was in a frenzy, carving, painting, and even bedazzling their pumpkins for the big day.
Benny the Bunny found the biggest pumpkin he had ever seen in the Nutfield priory. “This will be perfect for the parade!” he thought.

Benny the Bunny found the biggest pumpkin he had ever seen in the Nutfield priory. “This will be perfect for the parade!” he thought.
But the pumpkin was too heavy for him to carry alone. He hopped over to Sally the Squirrel’s tree.
“Sally, can you help me with this pumpkin?” Benny asked. Sally looked at the pumpkin and said, “It’s huge! We’ll need more help.”
They went to find Tommy the Tortoise, who was napping under a shady tree. “Tommy, can you help us with this pumpkin?” they asked.Tommy slowly opened his eyes and smiled. “Of course, but we’ll need a plan.”
Finally, they found Polly the Piglet playing in the mud. “Polly, can you help us with this pumpkin?” they asked.Polly jumped up and down with excitement. “Yes, let’s do it!”
Together, they pushed and pulled the pumpkin, but it wouldn’t budge. Then Tommy had an idea. “Let’s roll it!”
They all worked together, rolling the pumpkin down the hill, along the train track and on the linkified lane.
They decided it was the perfect moment to carve the pumpkin just before passing Sally’s brother’s school. As they worked hard, they couldn’t stop laughing and cheering each other on. The school children were delighted by the pumpkin’s goofy grin!
When they finally reached the Redhill town, everyone clapped and cheered. Pear the bear was waiting and waddled into the parade, joining all the friends with a big, goofy grin. "Let's make this the beary best parade ever!" he roared, making everyone laugh as they marched along.
The Great Pumpkin Parade was a huge success, and Benny, Sally, Tommy, and Polly learned that working together makes even the biggest tasks possible.
